I constantly get msn messages from friends wondering if I'm in Brunei of KL. Just goes to show how often I travel to and fro. Here's a clue, if I'm absent from blogging for a period of one week or so, I'm back in Bru.

My week back was great, as all other weeks back home have been. The best part of it all was that I had to do nothing, nothing at all, except pamper myself with heavenly food, a fucking good hot stone massage, a few nights of rummy with the company of little Adrian and adorable Bellebelle, a manicure and pedicure, a wedding attendance and quality time with the boyfriend, my boyfriend.

It's November. And all I really want to say is OMG!! I know that time flies by but this year it just whipped past me. I need to find myself some time to look back at what I've accomplished this whole year. On a brighter note, December is coming!! December is the mother of all celebratory months. There's Christmas and New Years Eve. Two of the biggest celebrations ever. December, December!

I wanted to post pictures, but it hates me and doesn't want to load. Oh well, Cest La Vie. Picture post next, promise.

Para what?

Paraskavedekatriaphobia.
It took me a whole 4.23 seconds to say the whole word. Yes, I timed. I'm bored and sad, so sue me! Took me ages to type it out too, with all the re-referencing I had to do just to make sure the word is actually right. It means a fear of Friday the 13th, made popular by the Friday the 13th movie featuring the infamous Jason Voorhees - kid tortured at camp for being ugly, drowned at camp and resurrected to start his killing rampage.

There are various historical reasons for the belief that the day is actually considered to be bad luck, which is very unfortunate considering that my boyfriend's birthday is on the 13th, pray it never falls on a Friday la just to be sad. Paradoxically, I don't believe in all that mambo jumbo lar.

But that is really not the point of this post.

Fear. What are you most afraid of?

I am scared of (listed in order, from scariest to scary but boleh tahan):

a. losing the people i love most. family and friends.
b. not being able to accomplish all that I want to accomplish.
c. dying young. i love life too much.
d. disappointing my family.
e. failure. i have never had a major failure during my whole existence.
f. small spaces. Extremely small spaces like coffins and small boxes. Claustrophobia
g. being unsuccessful career wise.
h (i). not being able to have kids.
h (ii). pregnancy.
i (i). heights - altho i do wanna bungee jump and later sky dive to overcome this fear)
i (ii). aeroplanes - partly due to the fact that i fear heights and watch too many plane bombing/assaination movies.

A - E, I am seriously scared off. What is your biggest fear?

I am officially in second year. It hasn't really sunk in yet, like when you've had a bad experience but your brain just shuts things out saying that that didn't just happen, but in a good way. First day, orientation. Or freshers week as they call it in the UK.

I've always imagined this merge between cohort 1 and cohort 2 to be very "Survivor" ( the TV show) like. For those of you who don't know, Cohort 1 started their first year in September of 05 and Cohort 2 (me, included) started early Jan this year. Now, we have finally combined to form a single class of Year 2 students, with the elimination (aka departure) of a few we are now merged to a class of 38.

Very survivor like don't you think? If you don't watch survivor, you obviously wouldnt know jack lar.

The few lecturers have given us nooo pressure, none at all *wipes beads of sweat* regarding our new subjects, which by the way are just pretty boring.

My resolution for 2nd year:

a. do not procrastinate (actually been my resolution every year la. refresh can?)
b. work consistently and not take things lightly
c. read daily, law reports, text books, journals, cases. law everything la
d. update cases, almost immediately. almost because i need time to breath too k.
e. make notes NOT at the last minute
f. basically have no social life, stay in the cold library till 3 in the morning and be a frickin' nerd the brain the size of Mo Jo Jo Jo. whee~
g. do everything nerdy.

As you can clearly see, it's day one but the pressure's on. I'm so grateful I've got my bunch of lovely friends with me. I know I'm not alone and I'm sure we'll have crazy kick arse fun too.
